How hard is it to be a teenager?

Smile Gorgeous!

I’m Francine Jane Palma, a grade 11 STEM student and I believe that teenage year is the most difficult, frustrating year of living.

No one has ever talked about behind the happy, bright, cool face that a teenager has shown- that behind that face is a face that he/she doesn’t want others to know. Living in this teenage year where we live in the expectations of others and walk to the path of their words in which all your actions are monitored and that making mistakes is the most fearful and hurtful thing you would ever do. It’s a depressing year yet, our parents misunderstand us or just that they know nothing about what we’re going through and nag us for acting like a child. Did you experience being compared to your siblings? Or to other people? It really can break a heart, thinking that you are not enough and then start to question your worth, abilities but you have to act that it doesn’t affect you and at night you’re crying in silence— where no one can hear or see you.

It’s fun being a teenager, you just have to enjoy it and live the life you want yet it’s very difficult in this lifetime.
